How will the Big Mac by Able Net Meet this Annual Goal?
Brandon's communication is unintelligible but he is able to obtain objects he wants physically, indicate refusal, and understand the cause/effect relationships implicit in switch operating systems.  Because Brandon is able to activate a switch with voice output to indicate preference, the Big Mac single message communication device will allow him to indicate his needs and desires. Single switch communication devices can be programmed to allow students like Brandon to participate in regular classroom activities and can promote pre-linguistic skills. By using the Big Mac AT device, Brandon will be better able to meet his goal of choosing one of two activity options three out of five times on three consecutive days.  Additionally, using the Big Mac will allow Brandon a means to interact at appropriate times with peers and adults through communication attempts during play eight to ten times on three consecutive days.
